WPTouch creates a mobile version of your blog. I’m wondering if folks will keep opting to use plugins like this now that responsive themes are becoming so popular. Do you use any sort of mobile-friendly layout for your site? Here’s why I don’t for BlogAid.
Do you use Skype for your biz calls? With the Skype Online Status Plugin you can configure a button to place on your site that let’s folks know your availability too.
Plugins to Check Out
The new Drop Shadow Boxes plugin is way cool, but it also has a couple of caveats. It has a bit of a learning curve and may impact load speed of the page/post it’s on. However, used sparingly, it could provide the little extra pop you need to highlight important info. I’m not sure the effect would actually hold when delivered via RSS feed on posts, so you may only want to reserve it for pages.
It may soon be pointless to use a browser extension to block ads. In last week’s Tips Tuesday I reported on a plugin that overrides that setting. Here’s another – dSero Anti-Adblock for Google Adsense.
