To help more folks get their online business on a solid foundation, I’ve lowered the prices on the Scratch to Published training classes, as well as on the WordPress and Genesis Video Library. Plus, I’ve introduced two new Specials for those getting started and those who want to try a Genesis / StudioPress theme risk free on a private site. And, I’ve added a pay-as-you go plan. Read on for more about these packages and why I’m doing this now, plus what else is coming down the pike.
I’m on a Budget
Everybody is these days. At the same time there are more and more folks turning to online entrepreneurship as a means to supplement or replace their primary income source. I’m 100% positive all of them would make more money faster after taking one of my Scratch to Published courses. I know this because of the success of the clients who have.
The problem is, they are suffering from what they don’t know that they don’t know and are falling into the “get a website with no investment” trap. If they survive it, they become my clients in a year or two, but only after they figure out how expensive free really is.
The Pricing Yo Yo
Last year I raised prices on every product and service I offered for three simple reasons. First, I had not kept pace with the industry and was too far below current market standards for those products and services.
Second, I had expanded all products and services to include more benefits and value.
Third, I wanted to target more serious-minded business clientele who understood the concept of investing in themselves, why what I offered was a bargain, and who would actually complete all of the work necessary to have a truly successful site.
I’m now lowering the prices for mostly the same reasons. Confused? I was too for a couple of months. But I know my audience and I worked it out.
It’s a Perception Thing
You’d think being a bargain would have garnered more business. It didn’t. In fact, the opposite was happening. Some folks took one look at my prices and perceived the value was suddenly too low regardless of how highly they thought of the content.
After raising my prices to industry standards, some folks looked at the offer, knew they needed it, but just couldn’t find a way to justify affording it all at once. So, perceived value was high, but the price made them hesitate.
All during this time I kept several packages at foot-in-the-door prices. Folks kept coming for those, and then coming back for more, and then for more. I had to keep adjusting rates so that they ultimately didn’t pay more doing it piecemeal than they would have if they had purchased the whole package up front.
Once they experienced the program they instantly recognized the incredible value. All of my clients felt they received way more than what they paid. And all knew they could have a better site and business by investing in themselves this way.
And that’s just how I like it.
What Happened Next
During that time I also began offering webinars and new video courses. It’s the only way I can scale the business and help more folks at lower prices.
They have been a huge success for everyone and I’m going to be offering more of them, and expanding to group Q&A and site review sessions too.
What’s in it for You
The most significant changes have been to the one-on-one sessions. Here’s the new line up.
Try a Genesis Theme and Get Started Right
I have several clients who started with a free theme or on WordPress.com and now they are ready to step up to a powerful theme on their own hosting. I created these two offers so they could try Genesis/StudioPress themes on a private training site and learn at their own pace with the WordPress + Genesis Video Library. I also included a package that has a live 3 hour session with me. See the Specials.
Scratch to Published
There are two levels of this course that include everything I’ve got to help you confidently create and manage a site that performs well and gets you business.
I’ve lowered the prices on both and added a pay-as-you-go plan. This helps in two ways. You get exactly the services and attention you need to be successful. Both of us can more easily modify the course to make room for what you need most in both time and budget. See the Scratch to Published plans.
More to Come
Over the years I’ve found what works, for both me and the folks who need the information and services I provide. I’m also blessed to attract mainly clients who are putting good out into the world, and I want to encourage that trend.
Right this minute I’m setting up new free or reduced-cost programs, such as an open Q&A sessions for those new to WordPress, online challenges to take folks step-by-step through getting something done in 10 minutes a day while offering group accountability and support, live group site reviews, and more.
How May I Help You?
I want you to get the help you need. And, I want to hear from you exactly what that is. I hope you’ll take a moment to answer a few of these questions so I can develop more offers that will help you most.
What do you need help with? What do you think is a fair price? Where are you in the process – just starting out or ready for the next level? When is the best time for you to attend a live session?
Thanks for taking the time to help me help you!
