Pivot Your Business
Tips Tuesday is going to be pretty short today, as I’m taking a bit of a break to work on my business instead of so much in my business.
And, because I did my really important talking in a special Blab with visibility expert Denise Wakeman yesterday.
We talked about why it’s time to pivot your thinking and your business to be able to thrive in this industry with so many platforms changing so much and so quickly. It truly is a must-see show.
If you’re a BlogAid News subscriber, you already know that I’ve pre-launched the new Facebook Live Like a Pro course. And you also got the super duper low discount just for my subscribers on it too.
In the Blab with Denise yesterday I publicly announced the launch. And there is still a bit of a discount on it because I’m still making those videos. I’m about halfway through, and had planned to launch a little later this week. I’m still on target to do that, and I’ll be raising it to the regular price at that time too.
And, I know some of you are not interested in hearing so much about video marketing. I know this because I’ve had more folks unsubscribe from my newsletter in the last week than in the last two years.
I’m okay with that. In fact, it’s what happens when folks pivot their business, and I do that every six months with BlogAid simply because I cover the ever-changing tech end of things. And, I have to go where the market is.
That’s precisely the kind of thing Denise and I talked about in our show too. You have to keep learning and growing and going where your audience is to make it in the online world today.
Live Classes This Summer
But don’t think for a minute that I’ve forgotten about helping you create a successful site.
In fact, I’m developing live classes for this summer.
And I want you to pick the format. No kidding! I really do want to hear from you about how you would like the info delivered. I’ll be sending out a poll or survey in the next few weeks so you can share your opinions with me in a quick and easy way.
These will likely be challenges on very specific things for you to do each week. And, I honestly do want to make them live classes instead of folks relying on replays. Otherwise, I’d just make them into another video course.
I’ll have more for you on that in the next few weeks.
BlogAid News subscribers will be the ones who get to take the survey first and that will carry the most weight with me.
I’ve also got several WordPress video tutorials on my update list for things that changed in the last release of WordPress like how to make links, plus some new tutorials for
- creating galleries
- Creating columns in Genesis
- New Genesis plugin how to’s
- And more
So, look for those to start rolling out this summer.
If there is anything in particular you’d like to see a tutorial on, please do let me know.
I’ve also got several new tutorials on my list for the Webmaster Training libraries, including
- more ways to migrate sites
- A new series on VaultPress
- Updates to the CloudFlare series
So, look for those to roll out in the next few weeks as well.
I do have one tip for you this week that you’ll want to take advantage of right away.
GSC has finally made a way for you to combine different site properties.
This will be great for the different versions of your site like http and https and www and non and your mobile version, if you have a separate one.
This way you’ll be able to track everything about them all on one screen, instead of hoping all over to get the info.
That’s a wrap for this week’s Tips Tuesday.
